Valar Morghulis. Valar Dohaeris for My Blog Description

I just updated my blog description to a Valyrian language.

Why?

Because it is a reality and I'm a huge fan of "A Song of Ice and Fire" of George RR Martin.

Yes, valyrian language is a fantasy created by the author of this awesome and ongoing novel.

In the 2nd book "A Clash of Kings" Jaqen H’ghar mentioned "valar morghulis" to Arya Stark when he gave her an iron coin. He asked her to mention this two words to any Braavosi she meets.

Then on the 3rd book,"Storm of Swords" she used this two words to a Braavosi captain and the captain replied with "valar dohaeris".

As I read on the series, I found that this valar morghulis means "All Men Must Die" and valar dohaeris means "All Men Must Serve".

This is the tag line of the feared group of assassin in Braavos known as the Faceless Men.

Why I decided to use this on my blog description?

Because it's reality(Again). A reminder that we are mortal. Stop wasting time on negative thinking. We only have one shot on this world. Start making opportunities for yourself!

What's Up 2012

Well, I need to make more money thru online marketing.
I found seo back in 2008. Just like any noobies, I resorted to undisciplined link building like comment there comment here. Stuffing keywords all over this site thinking that I might earn $100 overnight on my adsense. Sporadic keywords, changing from one target to another, in short no focus at all. I tried several tricks that I found on forums.Spamming friendster's comment form. Doing self-promotion on social bookmarking sites.

It was a good feeling if the keywords that your targeting shows up on the first page of the major search engine's serp. I thought, that's it. I thought I cracked the shell but when I checked my adsense, $0.04 sometimes none. I really thought that I could do it overnight just like the those ads saying that a 16 year old affilliate marketer,just doing layback marketing. Tried several methods found here and there. Tried affiliate marketing in cj and others, which I earned around $20 then it stopped. Then I realized that seo keeps on changing. There's only one tip that I didn't follow at that time.."content is king".

Inspite of that, I got my first $100 from google last february 2011. Imagine, I put up adsense on this site way back in 2008, it took me 2 years!!!

During those times I didn't own a pc and net connection. I'm not making that as an excuse but this year, I own a pc with dsl connection. I have the resources so what now? Get serious with SEO and replace my call center job.

Here's what I'm doing now

-Reading the resources and interacting with seo experts in seo.org.ph.

-Watching SEO resources from lynda.com( torrents! i'm guilty ).

-Reading SEO updates and articles.

-Setting up a website for a local business hosted here in blogger with a co.cc domain but I'm planning to change it to dot info. This will be my first seo project this year.

and here's my plans

-Sign up for a paid membership in seo.org.ph to get intimate

- Set up a mirconiche site to be hosted here in blogger

-Buy several domain names for future projects

-Get some odesk jobs

-Go back to college.

I'm running out of words to conclude my first post for this year.

My goal now is earn more money this year.

SMART BRO DIAL FAILED - RESOLVED

So, you have seen this annoying error message? LOL



Hopefully this will help you resolve the issue on smart bro's "dial failed" issue.
I bought SMART Bro Broadband Kit WM66A for Php 1,495.00 last tuesday at Cybermall in Eastwood. My first connection was quite good, I surfed the net for an hour then suddenly the connection droped. I tried to reconnect but I encountered this error "Dial Failed".

I did the following troubleshooting steps since I'm a tech support rep for a mobile broadband service for an overseas account.
- close the modem software
- plug in diff usb port
- uninstall/reinstall
- set the telephony in services to automatic
Still nothing. Then I placed the sim in my mobile phone, I checked my balance, got an error, check operator services. I thought, what happened to my the initial credit?
Good thing I had smart bro sim card and a Php100 load card that I bought last month(in my attempt to unlock the E1552 of globe from a red box). I recharged my new smart bro, I got this confirmation

I was able to connect and blog about this but still I have to bear with the speed. I was planning on unlocking this modem or just get a DSL. I think wireless broadband technology in our country and the rest around world still in infancy.

But if the above still can't get you connected, try this one. This works for windows xp but with windows 7 I think it may work with a similar method below.

Go to Start/Control Panel/Network Connection

Usually you will see this, your computer will automatically create that smarbro icon.
Just right-click the icon click properties, it pull up the smart bro propeties.


Press OK then right click again then press Connect
